Creator Terms
Last updated: July 2026
1. Who these terms apply to
These Creator Terms apply when you register for or use OutLoud as a creator (micro-influencer or UGC creator). They supplement our general Terms of Trust and Privacy Policy. If there is a conflict, these Creator Terms prevail for creator-specific matters.
2. Your profile & pitches
- You must provide accurate information in your profile, media kit, connected social accounts, rate card, and pitches.
- Do not misrepresent your reach, engagement, audience demographics, or past brand work.
- AI-assisted pitches are drafting aids only — you must review, edit, and approve all content before sending.
- Pitches you send represent your genuine interest and ability to deliver the requested content.
3. Campaign scripts & deliverables
When a brand provides campaign scripts after you sign an agreement, treat them as a creative brief — not a word-for-word mandate. You may adapt scripts to fit your authentic voice where the brand allows, especially where marked for your own input. You remain responsible for the final content you submit and publish.
- Submit drafts for brand approval before publishing sponsored content, unless otherwise agreed.
- Meet agreed deadlines and respond promptly to revision requests.
- Do not publish live content until the brand approves your draft (where the workflow requires it).
4. Content ownership & usage
- You retain ownership of original content you create, subject to any usage rights granted to the brand in your signed agreement.
- Usage rights (e.g. whitelisting, paid ads, reposting) are defined in your on-platform agreement with the brand — not by OutLoud by default.
- You grant OutLoud a limited licence to host, display, and process your content solely to operate the platform (e.g. draft review, media kit).
- Do not submit content that infringes third-party intellectual property or privacy rights.
5. Payment & invoices
Campaign compensation is paid directly by the brand to you using the payment method agreed in your digital agreement (e.g. bank transfer, e-wallet, mobile money, PayPal). OutLoud does not hold campaign funds or act as escrow. We generate invoices to support your workflow, but payment terms are between you and the brand as set out in your agreement.
- Submit accurate invoice details and follow up on overdue payments through the platform messaging tools where appropriate.
- Creator Pro subscription fees are processed separately via Paystack and are unrelated to campaign payouts.
6. Advertising disclosure & compliance
You must clearly disclose sponsored, gifted, or paid partnerships to your audience in line with South African advertising standards and each platform's rules (e.g. #ad, #sponsored, Paid Partnership labels). Campaign scripts may include disclosure guidance — follow it, and add your own where required.
Do not make false or unsubstantiated claims about products or services. OutLoud does not provide legal advice on campaign compliance.
7. Reliability score & ratings
Brands may rate you after completed campaigns. Your reliability score reflects deadline adherence and platform activity. Scores are indicative. Abuse of the rating system, missed deadlines without communication, or repeated failure to deliver may result in reduced visibility or account action.
8. Social connections
When you connect Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, or YouTube, you authorise OutLoud to access read-only metrics for your media kit and matchmaking. We cannot post on your behalf. You may disconnect accounts at any time from profile settings.
9. Suspension & contact
We may suspend or terminate creator accounts that breach these terms, misrepresent metrics, or harm other users. Questions: arnold@phakama.digital.
